Babatunde Adedotun Salawu

Tunde Salawu graduated in Marketing from the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin with the Higher National Diploma in 1981. He obtained a Professional Diploma in Purchasing & Supply from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, UK in 1981.  He also obtained a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing of UK in 1986. In addition, he obtained a Masters Degree in Managerial Psychology with specialization in Consumer Psychology from the University of Ibadan in 1998.  He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) of UK as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply Management of Nigeria. He is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Marketing of UK and the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (formerly Nigerian Marketing Association – NIMARK.

He is a Doctoral student in Organizational Psychology with Breyer State University, in the United States of America. He is a member of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) in the USA; Performance Management Association (PMA) of the United Kingdom as well as Institute of Employment Studies also of United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD) – an affiliate of the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO). He was the immediate past 1st National Vice President of NITAD. He has been serving NITAD actively for over 20 years in one capacity or the other.

He has acquired about 35 years work experience in the fields of Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Training and Development as well as Human Resources Management in some Nigerian organizations including Chemical & Allied Products (CAP) Plc. a subsidiary of UACN Plc. , Nigerdock Nigeria Plc., and retired in December 2011 as the Group Human Resources Director of  Lawson Thomas & Colleagues Group, etc.

He currently heads a consultancy firm, Global Kreatives Konsult Ltd specializing in Organizational Development, Learning and Development and Outsourcing services.  He is also a co-convener of the Lagos Sales Academy – a subsidiary of Global Kreatives Konsult Ltd with focus on Sales Consultancy and Sales Training.

He is a facilitator for such organizations as Tom Associates, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), First Bank of Nigeria Plc., Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD), among others.

He was the pioneer National President of the Kwara State Polytechnic Alumni Association. He also served as a member of the Governing Council of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin for about 4 years. He was Chairman of the Committee of Learning and Development Experts (a Committee of Nigerian Employers’ Consultative Association). He was a member of the Governing Council of Nigerian Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA). He was a member of the Nigerian National Committee of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

He is an accredited International Facilitator in Procurement and Supply Chain Management by the Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management International (ipscmi) and the American Certification Institute (ACI).

His core areas of interest are in Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, Human Resources Management, Leadership and General Management

He has 2 publications to his credit namely Principles of Purchasing and Practice and Techniques of Purchasing. He is currently working on his next publication – Marketing Concept and Practices

He is married and blessed with 4 children and six grandchildren.
